In the recently held press conference, producers of the upcoming rider, Kamen Rider Wizard, named Shunya Shiraishi (to play Souma Haruto/Kamen Rider Wizard) as the new hero. Shiraishi was delighted when he was elected to play the part last October 27, 2011.
He said during the press conference "Honestly, I'm glad and honored in making history and tradition to be the called Masked Rider. When it was announced that there will be a new Masked Rider, I'm thinking if I could go".
To go with the theme "the Wizard", Kamen Rider Wizard uses rings with jewels embedded to conceive its powers. To transform, he holds the ring in the center of the belt and changing the rings means changing his style. There are four styles that are mentioned: Yellow = Earth (Land Style), Green = Wind (Hurricane Style), Blue = Water (Water Style) and Red = Fire (Flame Style). He can use these characteristics through magic.
Director is Shojiro Nakazawa (Magiranger, Gekiranger, Shinkenger, Gokaiger). The writer is Kida Tsuyoshi (first half of Kamen Rider Hibiki). And the producer is Taakaki Utsunomiya (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger).
The Plot
In order to protect the people from demons who were born from the ceremony held on the day of eclipse. Those who have survived of the ritual, a Kamen Rider "wizard" tool was passed from a mysterious white witch to Haruto. Other casts include Makoto Naka, Takashi Totsuka, Yuko Takayama and Hisahiro Ogura.
The press conference showcased all the main casts. When asked about his role, Shiraishi replied, "The appeal is not about making the rings but the magic that comes out of the rings".
Golden Bomber's Shō Kiryūin as appeared during the press conference. He will be singing the theme song of the Kamen Rider Wizard series. It will be his first solo song but no title has been given as of the moment. The show will be broadcast every Sunday from 8:00 am on September 2, 2012.
