Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Zeronos Altair Form

Let me say this from the start, here is the written review of the S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Zeronos Altair Form. This first form of Zeronos almost share the same box art as Kamen Rider Den-O with changes on the rings to suit the character and photos of Zeronos are found at the back of the box.

Bandai offers a generous amount of accessories for this figure. Zeronos includes 9 hands, the Zerogasher in Bowgun and Sword mode, separated Zerogasher parts and holsters and a nicely painted Zeronos card.

The separated Zerogasher parts are used for placing these onto his belt. Although these are easily switched with the default holsters, these are so loose that one flick will detach on the belt. There are also two kinds of Zeronos belts, the other had the card removed. Among the accessories, what I like most is the Zeronos card that has both faces painted for either Altair Form or Vega Form.

The Zerogasher may be bulky but the figure can support the weight of the sword and the bowgun without toppling. Yuuto's Rider form has great detail and poseability since it shares the same engineering that went to Den-O Sword Form. I had issues placing the new hands on the balljoints as they feel too tight. However, S.H. Figuarts are known for sturdy balljoints so I don't need to worry about these like how I meticulously do on my S.I.C.s

One trick I learned from my online buddies is to slightly loosen the upper torso to have better bending and turning especially for the waist section. The limit would be on the shoulder joints because of the long  green shoulder accents. The gripping hands feel excellent while holding the weapons, should these warp in some way, these can be adjusted with a blow-dry method.

Looking at an overall perspective, Zeronos will have Den-O fans' heart skip a beat once they have this in their collection. But it my opinion, this SHF is an ok figure with the right amount of accessories and poseabilities to satisfy the experience. A must have, but not a stand out.
