Kiefer Sutherland To Voice Snake In Metal Gear Solid V!

The latest news for the latest installment of the Metal Gear Solid game franchise is that Kiefer Sutherland will voice Snake in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Not only does Sutherland will voice the iconic character but Konami confirmed that the company also did a motion capture of him for the game.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain tells a tale of the 49-year old snake on how his past weigh on him and how does this affects his future. Sutherland admits that he has never seen or played the game before. Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima hopes that Sutherland's world-class acting would bring justice to Snake's character. Konami's latest hopes to "push the company's Fox Engine" and bring an open world design, different from previous Metal Gear stealth games. Check out the pre-E3 video announcement below.

Well what do you think of this? Originally, I was really upset that David Hayter wasn't going to do Snake and then I was even more upset to see that it was Kiefer Sutherland as I didn't really see him being able to pull off the role. However, after watching the new trailer for MGSV at E3 I have to say that I'm not too disappointed anymore. We didn't get to hear a lot of dialogue in the trailer but what we did hear didn't sound bad. What are your thoughts?

@eli, I love Sutherland. The game required a younger snake and I believe he fits the bill. though everything looks great, I hope to see the actual gameplay to give my two cents
