The late Shotaro Ishinomori's adult action manga 009-1 will get a live action movie adaptation entitled: 009-1 The End of the Beginning. Mayuko Iwasa ( Nodame Cantabile) will play the main role of the cyborg agent, Mylene "009-1" Hoffman.
The plot is set in a world where the Cold War never ended, and the solitary cyborg agent 009-1 operates in the violent skirmishes waged between the two factions. The live-action film will recreate not only the manga's gun battles, but also 009-1's signature "breast guns." Here is the trailer of the film.

Joining the cast are familiar faces in the tokusatsu universe namely: Minehiro Kinomoto (Kamen Rider Accel/Kamen Rider W), Nao Nagasawa (Hurricane Blue/Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger), Mao Ichimichi (GokaiYellow/Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger), Shizuka Midorikawa (Nonko/Kamen Rider W RETURNS: Eternal), Kou Tatsugami (Leo Zodiarts/Kamen Rider Fourze) Naoto Takenaka (GARO: Makai Senki), and Aya Sugimoto (Kamen Rider W FOREVER).
009-1 The End of the Beginning is directed by Koichi Sakamoto (Kamen Rider W FOREVER, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger) which marks what would have been Ishinomori's 75th birthday this year. The movie will play as the last showing in Tokyo's Shinjuku Wald 9 theater complex, followed by other theaters in limited release starting this September 7th.
