Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Boukenblue & Boukenblack (Two-Pack Set)

To make it easy and mass-produce this Tamashii Web Exclusive set, the S.H. Figuarts Boukenblue and Boukenblack used a similar frame from Boukenred. This means, both have broad but very flat chest and used the same joints and cuts like the first release. Of course the heads change to their respective motifs with small clear plastics that represent headlights.

Like twins, both share the number of accessory count. Both include 8 hands each, a Survi-Blade with a good measurable length, a Survibuster that can be holstered through a swing arm and the Accellular in open phone mode and a closed feature to clip behind both figures. What would separate each is the Radial Hammer for Boukenblack and the Blow Knuckle for Boukenblue. The Radial Hammer is easy to work with Boukenblack because it is lightweight for the figure. Blow Knuckle simply attaches on the holding hand and fastened by clip.

I like the idea that Bandai has thought of going for a two-pack set instead of waiting a separate release. Though I am expecting something else than the obvious weapons but what is already included in the set, I think is enough. If both figures are patterned from Boukenred, this means that these also share the lack of mid section movement. But as a complete package, they have enough to represent GoGo Sentai Boukengers. More to this from the video review below.
