Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Scissors

The S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Scissors represents the crab-like antagonist in the TV show, Kamen Rider Ryuki. Scissors exhibits a metallic yellow paint application and protruding shell elements that look like reverse claw parts. Unlike other figures that were released on this line, he wasn’t included with his Volcancer.

Scissors includes his own stage with his name and symbol printed on the platform, 4 advent cards, 6 interchangeable hands, a cracked Advent Deck a Scissors Pincher, the Shell Defense and the Scissors Visor. Both the Scissors Visor and the Pincher have close and open action but only the Scissors Visor has the option to have the cards inserted on the slot. When using the Pincher on the figure you need to remove one of the plugs to fit it in. However the Visor is just simply gripped by the holding hand. Using the Shell also needs one of the plugs to be taken out from the forearm, then attached this on the figure and also on the visor.

This figure still carries the legacy of the Ryuki-based riders in the S.H. Figuarts line, having great amount of articulation and poseabilities. Some might argue that his head is a bit big for his frame but that is just one minor nitpick I can live through the day. I agree why this is a Tamashii Web Exclusive since he is not as popular as the rest. Again I have yet to see a Ryuki-based rider for the S.H. Figuarts line that I can say I truly dislike.
