Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Armed Tyranno Ranger

The Red Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Ranger or known as the Price of the Yamato Tribe in Zyurangers gets a power up with the S.H. Figuarts Armed Tyranno Ranger. Though the figure has the same frame as its base form, the added parts are the gold chest plate from Green Ranger, the golden bicep braces and a sling for the Zyusouken opposite the holster for the Ranger Stick.

The armored ranger now is all blades with the Dragon Attack Sword, and as mentioned the Zyusouken and Ranger Stick. He also has 8 replaceable hands but a pair is replaced with special molds to hold the Zyusouken like a flute, following Green Ranger’s attributes.

The Japanese version of the Armed Tyranno Ranger or Armed Red Ranger is still as great as his base form with those fine muscle tones that makes this a great catch. Since this is a Japanese exclusive release, this is quite more expensive than what Bluefin Tamashii Nations has set for the US market. There is not much of a difference really, other than the box design. Other than the price tag, aesthetically speaking, this has some limitations on the arms and the mid section movement and most of all, less extra parts. But those wouldn’t be obstacles in acquiring this fantastic representation of the Red Ranger. More to this from the video review below.
