Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Iron Man MK VI (Black Color Ver.)

In special toy events, revealed are some of the anticipated releases and unexpected variants. Just like this S.H. Figuarts Iron Man Mark VI Black Color Ver. The figure uses a similar frame of the hot rod red and repainted into glossy paint finish as opposed to the bright sparkly red of the first release. It is not a complete switch of colors but some part that were fully red are changed into gold and black to make this figure less bland.

Parts are also similar like the a pair of repulsor and 2 groups of boost effects for the hands and feet, 6 extra hands and 2 kinds of flaps for the shins and shoulders. Hand exchange is as simple as the red versions but you need to reattach the wrist guards in each replacement. The flaps for the shins are slightly elevated, revealing the pistons underneath the cover and the shoulder parts take a two-step process thus also showcasing the vents and electronics previously hidden from view.

Great thing is that if you like this sleek black variant that it there is a retail release 4 months after this was sold during the event. Making the figure available, especially for those who loved S.H. Figuarts Iron Man and would definitely like to have this in a different color. Besides, articulation is still as great and the weight distribution is top of its class. Though I wish there were extra details, something in line with Mark 43. More to this from the video review below.
