Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Kaixa GLOWING STAGE SET

The S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Kaixa Glowing Stage Set is somewhat better than the first release since this has the right translucent purple compound eyes as supposed to blue. Moreover, the yellow painted lines are different so you can see these illuminate under black light. As it comes out of the box, the figure has the Kaixa Driver, holster and the Kaixa Shot latched across his belt.

This set has almost the same accessory count as the first issue such as two Blayguns, one to replace with the sling on Kaixa’s waist and the other in sword mode. Its sword converts into a gun by removing the blade and switching it with a tab. Then included in the set are 3 Kaixa Drivers, one without the phone, the other without the mission memory and the other with the phone slightly swiveled. Another is the Kaixa phone in Blaster Mode and two Kaixa pointers to attach at the back of the belt loop and the other on the leg. Finally are 6 hands with one has the Kaixa shot molded in.

Main reason of its exclusivity is the glowing stage set. It comes with a dome base with a yellow ring around the Smart Brain logo, the black lights and arms to hold the Kaixa in position. The parts are clipped on either of the grooves and after getting the batteries in place, light it up and watch Kaixa glow in the dark.

Aside from having the stage in the set, the redeeming factor is actually having the correct lenses for Kaixa. Which means no need to modify or correct it. But does that justify the price and the exclusive tag on the set? I would say yes. Not only Bandai has made it right and also added a stage that can equally match with Faiz Glowing Stage Set. Besides, what you are getting is a high quality figure and stage set that would just wow collectors and fans of the franchise. More to this from the video review below.
