Toy Review: Play Arts Kai Halo Reach Carter

With blue as the primary color and steel as the second, the Play Arts Kai version of Commander Carter tries to fit the character’s render from the game Halo Reach. For those who have played the game, some may recognize the parts on the body such as the Commando helmet, chest piece and left shoulder piece, Tactical Wrist piece and his Gold Visor.

Like any Play Arts Kai figure released in line with Halo Reach, there are only a few to note. He has two extra hands, a grenade and the standard assault rifle. Similar to some Halo Reach figures, the grenade can be held on his hand through a peg while the rifle can be attached his back. Another accessory is a knife latched on his left shoulder.

For the keen eye, there is some sort of inaccuracy on the head sculpt since it seems flat on both sides of his face. Once you got used to the leg articulation, the figure is on its way to become looser and looser until these flap around. Despite these notes, I still commend Square Enix in keeping everything highly detailed; even the texture throughout the figure is not the same. Still a collectible figure overall More to this from the video review below.
