The latest visual for the upcoming live-action Rurouni Kenshin movie sequels set for 2014 was released recently for the first part entitled: Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire Arc (Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Taika-hen) The headline reads, "The most insane enemy appears". The film will
feature Takeru Satoh reprising his role as
Kenshin Himura and Tatsuya Fujiwara to play the lead villain, Shishio Makoto.
The latest Rurouni movies will be based on Kyoto arc of Nobuhiro Watsuki's
original manga, specifically, the Great Kyoto Fire and Legend's End
storylines. The two-part movies will be entitled Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire Arc and Rurouni Kenshin: The End of a Legend Arc
or "Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Taika-hen” and “Rurouni Kenshin: Densetsu no
Saigo-hen" and will premier this August 1 and September 13, 2014 respectively.
