In the latest issue of Saikyō Jump reports that Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama has revealed the name of Goku's mother. The name is Gine. She is part of Bardock's group, a gentle Saiyan. After a few times being saved by Bardock in the battlefield, they developed feelings for each other. Saiyans rarely develop these human-like emotions.
Since Gine is unfit to be a Saiyan warrior, would go on to work at the meat distribution center on Planet Vegeta. Goku’s mother will appear in a bonus manga packaged together with Toriyama’s one-shot manga entitled "Jaco the Galactic Patrolman: that will be released this April 4.
