It was also reported in this week's online articles that former Japanese football striker Masashi Nakayama will make a cameo in this year's soccer-themed film Kamen Rider Gaim: The Great Soccer Playoffs! The Golden Fruit Cup. Nakayama retired in the J-league last 2012 at the age of 45. He hold the title of the first goal for Japan in the history of the FIFA World Cup in 1998.
It was mentioned that the plot revolves an "All Rider" soccer cup with
respective team battling to win the “Golden Fruit” that grants wishes to
the winner. We have four teams competing; Yuya Sumii, who died in the
series comes back with Kouta in Team Gaim. Team Charmant consists of
Oren, Jonouchi and Hase (also formerly deceased in the TV show) and Team
Genesis with Takatora, Sid and Yoko.
During the tournament, Kouta realizes something is off, as Zawame city
used to be overrun by the Helheim Forest. A new rider appears and has
taken hold of the "Golden Fruit" and been defeating the armored rider
teams, who is he? Lapis also appears in front of Kouta. Lapis would
then transform later into Kamen Rider Kamuro Silver Arms! In this form,
Kamuro will be using his Silver Blue Staff as a weapon.
Kamen Rider Gaim: The Great Soccer Playoffs! The Golden Fruit Cup is written by Yajin Hagane and directed by Osamu Kaneda while
Ressha Sentai ToQger: The Movie - Galaxy Line SOS is written by Yasuko
Kobayashi and directed by Noboru Takemoto. Both films will premier this
July 19th.
