Via Movie Collection, the latest trailer has been uploaded recently in line with the movie, Initial D the Movie Legend 1: Awakening. The movie is part of the planned trilogy retelling the tale of Takumi Fujiwara, a highschool student who works at the gas station by day and for his dad at the tofu shop at night. His excellent driving skills and his father's modified Toyota Sprinter AE86 Trueno make him the best amateur road racer on Mt. Akina's highway.
Directed by Masamitsu Hidaka in partnership with Sanzigen and LIDEN FILMS production, screenplay by Mayori Sekijima and Akio Dobashi scored the soundtrack, the first film, Initial D the Movie Legend 1: Awakening opens throughout Japan on August 23.
