Toy Review: DX Fourze Driver and Astro Switch Set 1-4

It has been awhile since I reviewed any DX belt and/or with accessories. Honestly, there are better reviewers of this genre and DX belts are not my cup of tea. But I'll try to review not only the DX Fourze Driver but Astro Switch Set 1 to 4. A first in this blog review. I don't think it has been done before.

The box is very thick compared to my other DX Drivers at hand. After taken out of box there are four switches that are included (it should in the first place), Rocket, Launcher, Drill and Radar. The numbers on these switches are in holofoil and just in case you don't know which is which right down pat, there are illustrations on these stickers.

The driver is a translucent blue (baby blue) hard plastic. How the plastic is molded is quite nice, it is enough to hide the electronics inside. Its center has 7 LED lights to showcase which switch is turned on. Unlike my DX W Driver, the sounds on these are already set. You can try to poke one of the switch inside each slot so you'll know what Astro Switch will be released in the future should you would not pursue collecting all of the sets.

The slots on for the switches are formed differently like a Playstation console so there is no way to interchange them. For every switch that is inserted it says out its name. Now that all the Astro switches are in, there are 4 other red switches that you need to put down then it blurts "3...2...1". If you don't pull the lever, the countdown continues 'till the third time and stops. Once the right level is pulled another henshin jingle will come about and the LEDs light up.

To do the robotic "Limit Break" sound, no matter how many switches that are turned on or whichever order you might want to do, the driver always reads from right to left. Overall, the driver is neat and the switches are somehow addicting. Sometimes, I become Kengo clicking on and off a switch as a OCD mechanism to think while working. The Driver has enough number of switches you can start on. So next will be the switches that are available so far in most regions.
