Straight from the Tamashii Nations 2012 event, I bring to you the review of the S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Den-O Super Climax Form. I honestly didn't attend the event due to conflicting schedules (more like monetary), but someone has set one for me since.
In past experiences with figures that are in line or sold with the Tamashii Nations even, it was expected that this will be pricey and have less accessories than its regular releases. I might be wrong on this one. The box art is quite in theme with past TN releases. This doesn't have a window and the picture of the figure is in its purple silhouette. The official 5th anniversary logo is printed at the back of the box
As for the mold and articulation, Super Climax Form is the same with Climax form. Check out my previous review on it here. The difference is that the phone used to have a clear plastic to see the "T" on the Den-O belt but on Super Climax Form, this has been replaced with a black painted plastic. Also, the tread on his back is now included with a peg for the Sieg Wing attachment.
Basically the initial accessories found on the first tray are the same with Climax Form. In this exclusive figure, we are given another layer which include the Super Climax Form wing and a blue tamashii stand with the name Super Climax Form printed on it.
It would be tedious to move the Imagin masks on the arms and legs since it would require your to remove the wing first. With the wing on, the arms are quite hindered from moving smoothly even if the wing is pegged on a balljoint - add to it are the pointy Kinratos and Urataros masks that are already in the way.
It would be a debate whether this is worth double the price of the Climax Form just for the wing and the Tamashii Stand. My take is that as long as you already have Climax Form, yes it quite ridiculous to have Super Climax Form because of the price range. If you don't, it sort of makes sense to have Super Climax Form, that is if you can hide the balljoint on the back for the wing.
