Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Red Buster

Busters, READY GO! We seen a lot of red leaders in the super sentai series that came out this year and one of them is this S.H. Figuarts Red Buster from Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. It would be the first in S.H. Figuarts Super Sentai series that the box design obscures the number of accessories inside. Hmm. Sounds fishy.

Red Buster in a glance has the poorest number of accessories, probably the worst for this year and comparable to the S.H. Figuarts Riotrooper.  He includes six hands, the Sougan Blade, the Ichigan Buster and the Ichigan Buster Special Buster Mode. Despite the measly number, the weapons are impressively painted and sculpted to match the figure. What should have been included are the tool modes of these weapons (i.e. DLSR and Binoculars mode).

It is worth noting that the Red Buster has an awesome sculpt and the leather suits transcend very well since Go-busters' costume design is slightly different from the spandex types we've seen in the past. But if there is one evident feature of all Super Sentai SHF toys is that they all maintain the big head coupled with thin body.

Overall, if I can get over with the ridiculous accessory count, Red Buster is a likeable figure. Red Buster has tight joints and well painted to give that wet-finish look. Too bad Nick couldn't be included and the rest are Tamashii Exclusives.
