Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Gorisaki Banana

The S.H. Figuarts Gorisaki Banana is the second Buddyroid that was released as a single unit. Bandai did a great job in recreating the character to its utmost likeness. There are no details left unturned if you want to compare the figure to the show.

This husky buddyroid is wrapped with a great and refined metallic blue paint and then finished with glossy silver paint apps. Some might argue that the blue tone is one colour lighter but I think it is because of the in set lighting on some headquarter scenes.

Amazingly, most of the parts are very accurate such as the panels that also make up the controls of the Gobuster Machine cockpit. A good example is the steering wheel that makes up his face and even the shift knob on his right shoulder pad. Following through other Buddyroids is Gorisaki’s gorilla face molded on his back. 

Overall he looks great, he is actually more flexible for what he is on Gobusters and I see no major hindrances in terms of articulation. I consider this as one of the most accurate character-to-figure transition in Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts line.  Problem is, as an exclusive figure of this size, the team didn’t include anything, no accessories and no add-ons for the other released Gobuster figuarts. Not even extra hands. It is hard to find faults on the figure but it is equally difficult not to say things to convince you not to get one.
