Tokusatsu Museum Opens In Japan

SciFi TV Japan's  Gaijin Channel on Youtube, recently covered the opening of Hideaki Anno's new exhibition: "Special Effects Museum-Craftsmanship of Showa and Heisei Eras Seen Through Miniatures" in Tokyo's Museum of Contemporary Art. The video covers the artwork and original props from TOHO's golden era of science fiction films. The museum includes a very detailed collection of miniature cities, a traditional technique used for recent and past tokusatsu films and series. Hideaki Anno is a well-known Japanese animator and film director best known for his work on the popular anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Let the guys at Gaijin Channel give you a tour inside the Hideaki Anno Tokusatsu Museum and take a peak at an almost lost art of building miniature cities for tokusatsu films and animation. Subscribe to Gaijin Channel for more well produced segments. Gaijin Channel is a production of ACTV Japan.
