The S.H. Figuarts Joe Shimamura is taken from the 2012 anime
film 009 Cyborg.This means Joe has a
modernized look without letting a huge chunk of Ishinomori’s 1960’s
creation. His button on the uniform are
now smaller, so as his eyes ending the whole theme with high-cut boots.
Joe is inclusive with just 2 extra hands and two muffler
extensions one is on a stiff plastic mold and the other on a flexible
bond.Exchanging parts are not out of
the ordinary and quite standard compared to today’s S.H. Figuarts releases.
Looks too perfect, is there something a miss on the figure?
Bandai Tamashii Nations is not new in creating S.H. Figuarts
toys based on an anime series. In fact some of the earliest releases were
successful that it expanded its flavor to other collectors. Most notable are
the Dragon Ball Z warriors and villains, One Piece and even Pretty Cure. The
sculpt is very impressive and puts Art in S.H. Figuarts. However it compromised
the “character expression” in the key points we all know in this lineIf there is an ab joint and less hindered leg
articulation, this could have been more engaging. More to this from the video review below.
