Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts DekaPink

To complete the 5-man Dekaranger is the S.H. Figuarts DekaPink. Pink shares the same frame mold as Yellow but details such as the number 5 on her chest, and the pink motif sets this apart from Jasmine.Umeko’s suit includes highlights such as the SPD buckle, nameplate and the Dekaranger badge on the helmet and right shoulder.

Despite the feminine form, Pink carries a huge number of arsenal under her belt. There are 3 holsters to peg around her waist to fasten the retracted D-Stick, the D-knuckle and the SP License. She also carries the standard handgun called the SP Shooter, a longer pink D-Stick, the D-Wapper, 10 hands 1 of which is for DekaGreen and the other, a hand holding Zeni Bombs.

Adorable as it seems to be, DekaPink shares the same hindrances and lack of functional joints as DekaYellow. Neck articulation is stiff moreover, a limited upper body movement. Even with those small nitpicks, at least I am glad that she doesn’t suffer with unproportioned frame that is surprisingly common in S.H. Figuarts nowadays. Now your first 5 is complete. Overall Tamashii Nations has come a long way from its first SHF Sentai. There maybe hiccups along the way, but at least you know that it keeps on improving.
