Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Verde

The S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Verde is another Tamashii Web Exclusive release and I think I know why. But before concluding, Verde has an oriental feel when it comes to execution. This is seen on most of its green parts, the swirls and A-cut chest piece allowing for more upper body movement. Just like Gai, Verde’s Bio Visor is molded on to the body just beside his hip. As an added gimmick, a cord with a clip is included to mimic the visor’s function.

Verde includes 5 Advent Cards, an extra Advent Deck and 6 hands – 4 of which have pegs for the yoyo-like Bio-Winder. There are two kinds, a retracted version that can be plugged on the hands and one with a flexible wire cord. The cord is pliable enough to bend and create that swing action.

From all the of Bandai’s exclusives, this is one of a few releases I clearly understood its price range. Verde is one of the least popular characters from Ryuki. I’m not saying that the figure is bad; it is just the weakest among the riders to come up of the S.H. Figuarts line. In fact, Verde is the only rider with limitation in shoulder movement on the said toy line.
