Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ranger (Green Ranger)

After a long wait and several online blog posts, finally the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ranger has finally arrived. Dragon Ranger has almost the right proportions making this one of the sought after Figuarts to date. What is particularly spot on is his gold shinny armor that is absolutely to die for.

Dragon Ranger includes 4 pairs of interchangeable hands. There is a pair to hold the Zyusouken and another for the really great looking Sword of Hellfriede. The Zyusouken when not in used can be set aside though his holster found on his left. Its holster can be detached from the belt if you feel this is in the way of the leg articulation.

Part of the gimmick is the extra parts such as the belt and the neck with stars and stripes motif. Once replaced with the default parts, this becomes a representation of the Powerful Rangers as seen in one of the episodes of Akibarangers.

For 42 dollars, S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ranger is one of the best-looking Sentai S.H. Figuarts. The figure is amazingly sculpted and almost matches a TV accurate design. There are two service offerings for this release, there is a Bandai Asia Zyuranger version and there is a Bluefin Tamashii Nations release with the Power Rangers banner. This is great news because there is a Dragon Ranger for you wherever you are. An absolute must buy to those who grew up watching either Zyuranger or Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. More to this from the video review below.
