Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Odin & Goldphoenix

The S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Odin still continues to have an awesome design following past Ryuki releases. Gold and brown features finished with amazing sharp corners make up the entire attitude of the figure. Just like other Ryuki Rider, his advent deck can be removed from his belt and can simply slide back in.

Odin is inclusive of 9 interchangeable hands and his Gold Visor. The Gold Visor can open its wings giving that majestic spread and when the handle is pulled down, it allows you to insert the cards in. Speaking of cards, he has 7, even a survive card that was never seen in the series or a movie.

Gold Phoenix is a great addition to the set and can be used in multiple ways with Odin. First are the Gold Sabers that are pulled out from its wings for his Sword Vent. Next is the tail to form the Gold Shield. There are two ways to utilize this. This is through a handle when you replace the default peg. The other is by swapping the wrist guards on Odin.

Part of Gold Phoenix is a clear cylinder that can be latched at the back that enables the monster to hover behind Odin using a special Tamashii Stage. Finally, to execute Eternal Chaos, fold the head all the way back then replace the chest knobs with a back attachment. Then remove the pegs out from Odin and attach Gold Phoenix. With the merge of this two, there will be an imbalance on weight that is why the stage is helpful to keep it stable.

I really smiled when I got the S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Odin just because the fact that this is not a Tamashii Web Exclusive, although this is priced a bit higher than Kamen Rider Ryuki. The mold of the figure and paint applications are perfect so as the poseability, not only on Kamen Rider Odin but also with Gold Phoenix. Playability is not overwhelming but a friendly caution when you adjust the wing accents on the shoulders because these are susceptible to accidental breakage.
