Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts HurricaneRed

The first shinobi released in Bandai’s popular S.H. Figuarts line is HurricaneRed from Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger. This figure is slim and slender with nicely meshed arms and his Hurricane Gyro on the left wrist. He has this oddly shaped shoulder cut even deeper that Tyranno Ranger but at least the necessary details are there especially that crest on his forehead.

HurricaneRed has 13 hands, his sword a Hayatemaru, and another version on a sheath. The sheath plugs at the back of the figure and the handle can be detached when you are using the sword on the holding hands. Another accessory to mention is his personal weapon called the Dry Gun and the chest piece with the Space Union Ninja School's symbol. This sling comes in to parts easily clipped on the figure without hindering arm or torso articulation.

Since this figure is released as part of the Akibaranger line-up it is surprising that HurricaneRed didn’t include a Shuriken Bat. This means, if you are getting the Ninja Storm version and doesn't include the Ninja School sling, you’ll not be missing a lot. As for the set, the accessory count is manageable and so is the figure. Just a heads up that the legs will be somewhat loose after a few leg poses that is a let down for S.H. Figuarts fans.
