The second sailor warrior to come out for Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts is Sailor Mercury. The bubble bursting Ami may have some similarities with Sailor Moon but with lesser details such the crescent accents that are absent on this figure. Sailor Mercury is enveloped with pearled white applications with blue finish then covered with more metallic acrylic paint following Sailor Moon.
As part of the set, she has 9 hands 3 extra faces, 2 kinds of handheld pocket computers and a mercury goggle with the bangs molded together. Each hand can set its own pace adding variety in position such as summoning one of her abilities and even a steady hand to hold either the closed or opened computer. The difference lies on her rounded pegs whereas Sailor Moon’s Figma-like stems. Each face replacement carries a three-prong system and can be easily switched together with her goggles. Last to mention is a heart-shaped Tamashii Stage with her name printed on the platform.
The S.H. Figuarts Sailor Mercury is not a far mold than of Sailor Moon’s. And if you enjoyed the latter you’ll have the same feeling with Mercury. It is hard though to extend those poses since the feet don't offer much stability. In this case I was struggling to get more action out of the figure but I guess that is why the stage was included in the mix. What you’ll enjoy most is the non-exclusive tag that allows her to partner and collect with other heroines in the anime.
