Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Space Sheriff Shaider

The final Metal Hero stepping up on the plate in 2013 is the S.H. Figuarts Space Sheriff Shaider. Shaider is covered with electric blue and silver chrome plating with small nubs, making this more detailed than the other 2 Space Sheriffs. In addition, the figure has a holster on the right hip with a swivel point allowing less hindrance during leg poses.

The number of accessories for this set equals Sharivan. He has an extra head with a lighted pair of eyes, two kinds of Laser Blades, 6 extra hands and his Video Beam Gun. When not in use, you can always holster the gun. This is not a snug fit but it does what it needs to do. His extra-lighted head is an easy swap, however the visor’s glow is not as prominent than Gavan or Sharivan’s.

Similar to Gavan and Sharivan, I too recommend the S.H. Figuarts Space Sheriff Shaider to complete the metal hero trio. The chromed parts do highlight the overall impressive sculpt, though effects for the weapons will help this figure a more sellable option. If not for the hindrance on the feet due to the large ankle accents, this is almost a flawless execution from Bandai.
