Probably the first non-anime or tokusatsu related figures released for Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts line are the French duo collectively known as Daft Punk. At a first glance the figures sport an all leather look with the band’s logo printed on the back. But aside from the head mold, it seems like they have the same frame but if you look closely, Thomas Bangalter has longer limbs than Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo.
Both have an identical number of 16 replaceable hands but the chromed applications have changed to match each figure. These swappable hands varies, from turntable-scratching poses, rocking out, peace signs to common S.H. Figuarts open relaxed hands.
The set is in line with the promotion of the Daft Punk’s latest album and I am somewhat glad that we finally have an S.H. Figuarts version.
Articulation is limited for both and can be comparable to Joe Shimamura. I wish that instead of investing extra hands, I would like to see turntables, synthesizers or any equipment that they used in every show. These are sold separately but I recommend getting both since it wouldn’t be sound enough just to get one over the other. I don't really recommend getting this set unless you are a huge Daft Punk fan. More to this from the video review below.
