Shonen Jump To Open Theme Park

In a press release, Namco Bandai Group recently announced that it will open a theme park dedicated to Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine next summer. The theme park will cover about 6,168 sqm. located at the Sunshine City World Import Mart Building in Tokyo's Ikebukuro district, same place where Namco's indoor theme park is situated. 



Bandai will also collaborate with Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump editors, Toei Animation and Pierrot in the planning process. The official name of the theme park has yet to be announced but according to the plan, it will feature themes from popular titles such as  One Piece, Naruto, and Dragon Ball. There will also be a "Heroes' Arena" area with a rotating theme and different characters at regular intervals. In addition, there will be food and dessert areas, an amusement area, and a characer goods shop.
