The S.H. Figuarts EX Skullboilder, as many would say a true straight repaint of Machine Hardboilder. The body itself is painted in glossy gun black but left the W mark, jewel in front, headlights, drive chain, hand and disc brakes in red and silver paint. Bandai even placed a license plate at the back without any special markings. There are step pads on both sides and a working kickstand.
Rubber tires work just nicely and so as the spring swing arm at the rear wheels. The track forks do move with the handlebars left and right and overall does look like your common sport bike but with horns in front similar to Kamen Rider W’s antennas. Not really needed, but the bike also splits in half and the fork detaches like the Hardboilder. It is no surprise but at least you know.
The problem with the bike is lacking details making the overall appeal look flat. But if you have the Hardboilder in place then there are no huge difference anyway, just the color changes. I believe that the seat is too wide for the figure, not allowing the feet to rest perfectly on the step panels. I also wished the headlights are translucent plastic instead of covering it with silver paint. Lastly, no extra parts such as throttles or holding hands for Kamen Rider Skull. Which means the set is just like Hardboilder, comes only with the bike. More to this from the video review below.
