Toy Review: S.I.C. Kamen Rider Stronger & Tackle

One of the last S.I.C.s to use twisties is this two-pack Kamen Rider Stronger and Tackle. In S.I.C. form, Stronger actually has a better design in the reimagined aspect and so as Tackle. Unlike the actual suit, the figures are not bulky but their details truly pop out. On Stronger, he has a more mechanical feel to it while Tackle looked like an upgraded form without loosing her femininity.

Both are similarly inclusive with are mufflers that obviously need to be placed just at the back and 5 hands each. What differ between these heroes are their replacement face and armor parts. Tackle has a covered faceplate while Stronger has an extra face, shoulder and chest parts for his Charged Up feature. Replacing Tackle’s faceplate is simple to do just by taking out the side panels of the helmet and inner mask. It would be the same with Stronger which you need to take out the shoulders first before the chest plate, exposing the more metallic “S” accent on the chest. Biggest gimmick I guess is Stronger’s light up feature. At the back is a switch to turn off and on the big LED bulb hidden behind the head and on the chest. The lights are truly bright especially under dim settings.

This set is one of the best renders of Stronger and Tackle and actually look better than the characters on TV. Tackle has good articulation points despite the S.I.C.s are not known for poseability. It is not the same with Stronger as he lacks a neck articulation. There are mods to rectify this but takes a lot of skill to achieve it. I do like the entire presentation but I hope fans can appreciate Tackle more since there are not a lot of figures related to the character. As for Stronger, he looks handsome in his deformed state that makes this set a sought after collectible. More to this from the video review below.
