Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Robo Rider (Kamen Rider Black RX)

The aim of the release of the S.H. Figuarts Robo Rider is convert into figure form Black RX’s 2nd upgrade. Created by his deep sadness, Robo Rider as his name states, mechanical-looking more with black and yellow coloring. His transformation device now resembles a gearbox covered with a transparent plastic.

Sadly, the mass retail release only has 3 extra hands and his gun called the Vortech Shooter. Since the gun virtually materializes on his hand, there are no holsters to park with the figure.

I believe that from all the publicity we got from events and word-of-mouth, Bandai didn’t give that much love to Robo Rider. With only 3 hands and 1 weapon, I’d really like to see more accessories or other packaged gimmicks in this set. Even though this form is the least agile, the joints in the mid section are off and also have limitations on the ankles. But these stiff joints also help in balancing the figure even in the most difficult positions. It has its merits really.
