Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Zi-O

At face value, the S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Zi-O seems to have all the things you want on the figure. He styles up with his signature metal watch-themed garment and the Kamen Rider and Zi-O name on the helmet. Watch hands replace the antennas and a subtle second hand on the forehead. The only gimmick this set has is that the Ziku Driver rotates clockwise or counter clockwise and all ride watches on both forearms and on the belt are detachable so you can switch and swap in any which way you want. Just like Build, he has 5 hands mostly pointing finger versions and that’s it.

Okay, most of the details are there. But for the most discriminating taste of collectors, the watches are so plain and can’t distinguish them from each other. It seems like Bandai is both smart and cheeky in this offering because this didn’t include any weapons and you need to purchase the bike in order to get them. Price-wise, this is affordable just because it is lacking the essential weapons and small number of exchangeable parts.
