Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Captain Marvel

The last Marvel character to be introduced in S.H. Figuarts before the movie Endgame starts is Captain Marvel. Out of the box, the face sculpt is modeled after the actress, Brie Larson while she sports an updated version of the Kree suit fashioned in red, blue and golden accents. Just note that the shin can be bent awkwardly forward and the only part that is keeping it at bay is her kneepads.

Set includes 4 additional hands, flame effects for the wrists and an extra helmeted version of her head. Unlike other S.H. Figuarts, bolting the head out stems from the neck and not directly from her head. This version follows closely to the movie in which her hair sticks out like a mohawk.

Though to be honest that the head sculpt doesn’t look like Brie Larson, it is still beautifully made. There are such a few things left desired for a set that is quite on the expensive side. For example a leather jacket would be nice, the flame effects could have been longer or a glow effect on when she charges up. Maybe it is just me but her eyes are not looking straight but angled towards her right side. Even with all of the downsides, this is still a cool set to have.
