One of the most famous and memorable of all armors, the S. H. Figuarts Iron Man Mark 50 is the 2nd to the last armor we see in the MCU. The figure is sleeker than previous versions and keeping its nano-tech theme. There is more mixture of silver, gold and red almost the same as the movie version. More to this on the video review after the jump.
Some accessories are very familiar not only to Iron Man but past MCU figures such as 6 hands and the blast effects. The additions are the repulsor and energy displacer canon. This special set also includes the signature Tamashii translucent box and tamashii arms. Fitting the repulsor cannon for his left arm is a quick replacement from the foreams and the reattach the left fist to complete the look. The energy cannon splits into 2 to place the closed fist inside and snaps to the right arm. I do not think that putting the hand back is necessary since the cylinder is deep and you can’t see the fist inside.
This is one of the most flexible Iron Man figure to date in the S.H. Figuarts line but there is nothing you can do really with the waist articulation. You can’t do really as well to clip the arms nearer to the torso without forcing the joint. Not a fan of the gaps on the ankles and at the back of the figure. There are so much extra weapons that are missing and there are more popular and more prominent parts that should have been included than the 2 weapons.
