Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts War Machine Mark 4 (Avengers Infinity War)

The War Machine Mark 4 is the 4th armor but the 5th in the war machine line up in S.H. Figuarts (if you count Iron Patriot). It feels like a mixed breed of all past war machines that makes this the best version yet. Similar to the models before it, the Mark IV has its numerical designation painted onto the right arm and Air Force insignia on the legs.

This SHF version includes a familiar set of 3 pairs of hands, effects for the hands and feet and parts for back armor. Also included in this set are pieces for the stage and also acts as a compartment for other accessories. The difference on the effects is for the shoulder cannon that is on a peg rather than a hole.

To replace the back armor pieces, the middle turret comes out first before taking out the rest of the pieces. The turret has three rotating parts so you’ll never ran out of places to switch. The lower flaps also have the swiveling parts so you can adjust them accordingly.

I’m satisfied with the entire set especially the complexity of the back armor of War Machine. This version is more stable and more solid that previous War Machines. It has some heft into it that I do like a lot. What is wrong with this? Well, even how beautifully painted and molded this War Machine is, this S.H. Figuarts is far from accurate against what is looks like in the movie. The bomb dispensers should have been more titled to the back. Next are there are less silver lines than of the original and up to this point, still no protruding guns on the forearms and no missile launchers – anywhere.
