Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Ride Striker (Zikan Girade & Zikan Zax Set)

The Ride Striker, the official rider machine of Zi-O and Geiz, finally gets the S.H. Figuarts treatment. The theme actually rides on Kamen Rider Zi-O’s motif. You have the metal strap as a guard in front on the bike, Kamen Rider symbols on the axels and gas tank, and bug eyes for the headlights. The rest are kept plain based on the Honda CRF250 Rally model.

Now the reason and probably the one of the reasons why you are getting the set is because of the accessories. There are 10 extra hands, 5 each for Zi-O and Geiz to hold the throttle and the weapons. Weapons, which collectors are eager to their hands on are Zikan Girade in both Ken (sword)mode and Zyu (gun mode). For Geiz, we have the Zikan Zax in Yumi (Bow Mode) and Ono (Ax Mode). You can use the ridewatches on all weapons. Only the Bow mode has a longer trigger to complete the look of an archer. Finally, on the list are stages or holders for the rear wheel and also an adapter should you have a tamashii stage.

Looks great but what is missing in the set is the watch version of the Ride Striker which is an advantage on the DX version. Details are great for a 1/12 scale and everything seems to work. A caution to be more careful on the handle bars not only for this but S.H. Figuarts in general because bikes made from 2014 onwards are somewhat delicate. It is sad that the weapons are in the set as consumers are forced to purchase these things instead of having bikes as alternatives to the collection.
