Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Star Lord (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2)

Star Lord aka Peter Quill, debuts in the S.H. Figuarts MCU line based in the movie, Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2. Rocking in a leather outfit, the figure also has the iconic graphic shirt with the words “Gear Shift” in Kyln language. Out of the box, you will have the head sculpt of Chris Pratt as default.

The set includes a pair his signature weapons called the Quad Blaster, 4 hands and masked version head. Since this is a special edition set, this also has 3 pink explosion effects. Make sure that you place the correct blasters on the holding hands since they are molded differently. 

I didn’t mention this earlier but it seems that this figure is also bow-legged. Having most of the parts that are on a single joint, leave a lot to be desired. It really doesn’t work for me as it reminds me of Figma rather than an S.H. Figuarts figure. What I can also say that the set has a decent head sculpt and likeness to Chris Pratt so it is not a total loss when compared with other MCU figures in this line.
