Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Ultraman - The Animation -

Bandai reaches back to its fans with an updated version of the warrior of light with the S.H. Figuarts Ultraman from the animated series aired in Netflix. The difference is overall tweaks to the suit compared between the manga and anime version. There are more red paint applications covering some of the parts and the jewel on the chest seems smaller. Some will consider this form as his B-Type.
The set has 4 hands, 3 panels for his Spacium Blades, one of which is for the Spacium Ray effect, 3 effects – which are the for the Spacium Ray and the Ultra Slash. The panels for the blades are held by 2 pegs to ensure it stays on once switched. The 2 circular blades fasten under the wrists while the big ray is slots on the right empty panel.

Though I haven’t done a video review of the manga version, I can easily tell that this is more mechanical looking than the first. Articulation is decent but the neck and arms could have been better in most aspects. For those who are into customizing their figures, I can see that there is ample room to insert led lights on the eyes and on the chest. You just need to know how to take it apart. Another part of my wish list for this figure is to have a separate gem on the chest  like  another panel to change this into a red version.
