Toy Review: SIC Kiwami Tamashii Wild Chalice

Ok, so I take it back. Not all Blade figures in the S.I.C. Kiwami Tamashii line is that bad, in every bad bunch of apples there is always an exemption. A good example is Wild Chalice. Wait he was released before the other Blade figures followed, so what happened?

If you happened to miss the SIC version of Wild Chalice (because he was an exclusive), this is another chance to get the same look and feel with the Kiwami Tamashii line. He is actually better looking as the powered version of Chalice in the Blade series.

His sculpt is very decent for a small figure. Although he is fashion from the heart suit in a card deck, somehow Bandai has pulled it off in bringing that manly feeling with Chalice. I didn't mention this on my video but his open mouth coupled with fearsome bangs makes it more sinister and not to be messed with.

Articulation wise, he is much better than the latter figures. The shoulder pads are mostly deterrent to Blade but Chalice's works well. They are on a ball joint so it allows a better reach on the figure.

The only thing I have qualms with is the color scheme. He has a mix of gold, green, silver, black and red paint apps and translucent plastic all over which makes him look like Christmas tree above everything else. With this it makes the whole paint scheme look busy and confuses some onlookers. This is just a minor nitpick.

Wild Chalice comes with 2 extra pair of interchangable hands which makes poseabilities better than Blade or Garren. In addition, there is his Chalice Arrow and Wild Slashers for a complete finish. The only con I see is that the paint of these accessories have missed parts or scratches.

Nevertheless he is worth your every penny.
