Toy Review: SH Figuarts Kamen Rider OOO Burakawani Combo

A lengthy title for a complete combo in the SHF Kamen Rider OOO line. With the exception of Super Tatoba Combo should it come out after the Fourze x OOO x W movie. At first I thought that Burakawani combo will come out in the series and may ease the pain in purchasing in SHF form. Nevertheless, picking this one up was a no brainer especially that this is my first completed series in the SHF line...was it a necessity or a want (I told myself).

The combo comes from three Core medals namely Cobra, Kame(Sea Turtle) and Wani (alligator/crocodile). With the exception of the head, the main colour scheme is shades of orange. This reflects on the box design on the rings found on the side panel. Inclusive on the box is the Wonderful movie logo. I still have to see the movie as of this post and excited to see how this would work out.

Out of the box, Burakawani's accessories include two open hands, two holding and one mainly to hold the OOO scanner. Aside from the OOO scanner is the Orange Kame Shield. These are cleanly made and I see no problem in terms of paint apps and molds, these made me smile a little bit making my purchase a little lighter on the wallet.

The head sculpt is fashioned obviously from the Cobra medal and then shaped like a turban. To make the look more exciting, a snake tail is added. You can twitch the tail allowing the head move better without the tail hindering its articulation.

Burakawani's shoulder pads are different from previous OOO offerings, these are placed on the sides rather than your usual "on top" design. These makes flexibility for the arms allowing a perfect 90 degree angle, maybe even more.

Many would speculate that his arms are remolds of either Tajadol or Zagohzo, I'm pleased to say it is not. There are extensions on the boots' design hiding the knee joints in the process. However, bending the knee exposes the cap-less knees that may dismay some enthusiasts.

The problem of most SHF exclusive figures are the lack of accessories. But I believe the reason of purchasing one (even if it is a shallow reason) is because they heard it on the OOO Driver and match with their SHF Kamen Rider OOO collection. Burakawani only has 5 hands and a shield. From my point of view, only the OOO completist would enjoy Burakawani together with other full combos as what I did on the photos. Speaking of photos, I just created a new super sentai, Medal Sentai OOOOrenja. Enjoy.
