Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Den-o Sword Form

Finally here! This is my review of the S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Den-o Sword Form after three years of waiting since we had the first Den-o SHF related toy. Aside from the obvious necessary accessories are these cool effects parts....wait let's start from the top shall we?

First of all, the rings on Den-o have lessened for obvious reasons. If you don't, it is because we are dealing with Momotaros' fusion which the base color motif is red. But the rest haven't changed much from Climax Form. There are two trays to store everything that we need (yes, we) from Den-O.

The effect parts comes in five sections, three electric rods, one spark ball base and the longer version of the sword. It all makes sense when these come together on the Dengaher. Check out the video below to learn how to assemble this. It's awesome and light weight, which means it doesn't poses issues when Den-O holds the sword with these pegged in.

Other accessories include the DenGasher, two holsters with the disassembled sword (finally painted), 6 hands enough to have all his signature poses like Ore Sanjou, a rider pass and another sword that has the blade removed from the handle. What I am really happy about is that all of these pieces fit in together on the holding hands even the Rider Pass.

Following New Den-O and Climax Form's mold, he continue to have the nice peach-shaped compound eyes stretched to have the ends as antennas. Hinged shoulder pads allows more arm movement for the figure and rest, very similar to the former. Den-O is well balanced as it can do perfect squats and a plus especially when he holds the Dengasher with the effects.

Overall, there is a reason why we waited for so long before we had Den-O Sword form. Bandai took the time to perfect the second form with almost perfect paint applications and add a few extras to make the Den-O experience worth the wait. The main Hsieh riders in S.H. Figuarts form in near its completion and I can't wait for other forms arrive hopefully not in too distant future.
