Storyboard artist Jeffrey Errico who worked on the supposed live movie adaptation of Katsuhiro Otomo's manga classic Akira, posted storyboards for the opening sequence of the said film.This could have been your first view of what supposed to have happened if the Akira Live-Action movie was pursued.
Early this year, it has been reported that what was green-lit by Warner Bros back in October, was eventually cancelled because of budget constraints. According to Hollywood Reporter "The project, which has been through several incarnations, is being shut down in the face of casting, script and budget issues. The production offices in Vancouver are being closed, with below-the-line talent and crew told to stop working. "Everybody is being sent home," according to an insider."
