Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Ryuki Survive

This is a written review of the S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Ryuki Survive. Supposed to be part of my best 2012 S.H. Figuarts figures, but it arrived at my doorstep in early January. He is inclusive of 9 Advent cards, the Dragvisor Zwei with an extra longer blade and 13 hands. Actually, one set of hands are for the base form of Ryuki to hold the DragVisor Zwei and the Survive card better.

The DragVisor Zwei has two ways to insert any Advent Card. First is by opening its mouth and there is a card holder conveniently placed in between. However on the show, this is only used for the Survive transformation. Next is the card deck holder seen when you pull back the handle. This feature will somewhat reminds you on how Gai's Visor works.

The blade acts like a Swiss army knife hidden in between the crevasses of the Visor's head. Since this is a short sword, Bandai has included a longer blade to make it more realistic to use.

Just like Kamen Rider Knight Survive, the metallic finish and gold trims highlight the figure even more showcasing all the great bits and pieces found on this figure. There is no way wrong on the articulation points since it still employs the same engineering as its other Ryuki-based SHF toys. And that is without those plugs falling off.

Extra joints are placed near the huge dragon-like accent on the shoulders allowing more poseability for the arms. But in some occasions, these are quite annoying to look at on angles that require a lot of arm movement. In summary, if you have no idea who this character is, the sculpt and the playability alone will entice you to pick this one up off the shelves. Definitely a must have. Check out the video review below for more info.
