Toy Review: R/D Kamen Rider Wizard (Flame Style)

The R/D Kamen Rider Wizard Flame Style is a more or less 2-3 inch figure sometimes found in UFO catchers in arcades or in just a selected distributors or stores in Hong Kong and Japan. For Kamen Rider Wizard, most of its molds are taken from the soft vinyl offering from the same Banpresto line. But this time, it has a small frame and a big head much in line with the super deformed theme.

This figure is inclusive of two hands one of which is to hold the WizardSwordGun in gun mode. Like other past R/D, hinged pegs instead of ball joints such as in the S.H. Figuarts line hold the wrists. The gun is flat painted in silver with a red tip just at the end.

There are no open and close hand gimmicks for Shake Hands but in order to do this, there are interchangeable hands that are pegged just at the side of the gun. Real Deform Kamen Rider Wizard Flame Style is a nice looking 3-inch figure if you are looking at a static figure.

However, this less detailed than other Bandai offerings. The bad side to this is the hindrances on the leg articulation that doesn’t match up with past selections such as Den-O or Kamen Rider OOO. If you know someone who can get this for you, go ahead but don’t expect this to be as good as other riders on this line. More to this from the video review below.
