Square Enix Opens Office In Indonesia

Recently Square Enix has announced that the company opened a hub in Indonesia under the name Square Enix Smileworks. Known for publishing game titles such as Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy, Square Enix hopes to extend its foothold of  the South East Asian market. The move is the cause of the region's growing purchasing power and economic stability. 


Square Enix Smileworks office will develop games targeting the region. The hub currently has 23  employees with three hailing from Square Enix Japan. Smileworks will also create artwork for social games and recently they held a contest to get artists for Nirvana Genesis, a card game in Japan.
