Toy Review: S.I.C. Kamen Rider TheBee

Kamen Rider TheBee has arrived in Bandai’s S.I.C. line up but marked as a Tamashii Web Shop exclusive. Riding on the original wasp design, a few details have been added with small bits of deformity following its intended brand. Unlike the original suit, wing accents are added on just on the shoulders. The rest of the joints are very similar to past Kamen Rider Kabuto figures especially with Kick Hopper and Punch Hopper. As a default, TheBee Zecter on Cast Off mode is attached already on the Henshin Brace.

The set comes with just 5 extra hand replacements and two extra versions of TheBee Zecter. It is easy to take out the default hands that exposes the rounded wrist joints but difficult to peg in the replacements. So don't force these in as you would with S.H. Figuarts. The small Zecter has wings that fold forward and back and pegs on the Henshin Brace as it would on the show. The biggest take on is the Zecter with the Rider Sting effect but this adds on to hindering the arm articulation.

TheBee has superb leg articulation since it carries the same attributes as Kick and Punch Hopper. However I couldn't say the same with the arms because the shoulder pads are always in the way and also adds difficulty once with effects are attached. Then again, I’m happy with the overall sculpt and proportions that makes this not a bad collectible if you just ignore that exclusive tag. More to this from the video review below.
