Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Naruto Uzumaki

The first character out of this anime series for S.H. Figuarts is the older version of Naruto Uzumaki from part II of the saga called Naruto: Shippuden. Since this is the mature version of Konoha’s hero, the bandana is now black while his tracksuit is a blend of orange and dark colors. The figure is incomplete out-of-the-box so you need to connect the bandana extensions and also the pouch on his back.

This set has a very generous number of accessories. We have 2 kunai knives, 3 extra face replacements, a Rasengan effect and 11 extra hands. Exchanging the face parts is quite similar with the anime figures in this line by sliding the default part held by simple pegs. One of the hand replacements has a peg protruding on the palm to insert the effect.

There are a few points I wanted to raise on the review that could have been improved since I follow the story week after week. First the hair color is off; instead of yellow we have slightly nude colors. The abdominal could have been flatter as this mold makes the figure look like he has a big belly. Lastly, I wished for a Rasenshuriken but probably that would come for future releases. Nevertheless, the overall presentation is fair and despite the limited neck articulation, the rest is very poseable making this set fun to play with.
