Super Hero Time: Japan Relief Effort!

Originally an effort of RRR, now has become a team effort. It’s Super Hero Time folks and as heroes it’s time to save the world! RRR, CSToys International, HJU, YouTube Toy Reviewers and Renz Media Network Sites are banding together to help promote Super Hero Time!

On March 11, 2011 magnitude-8.9 earthquake hit off the shore of Japan, unleashing a 23-foot (seven-meter) tsunami and leaving enormous destruction in its wake. Hundreds possibly upon thousands have been killed in this disaster and thousands have been left homeless, as the tsunami swept through, causing mass destruction and setting off widespread fires that burned out of control. However Super Hero Time is banding together to help aid Japan in this terrible time.

Purchasing online avoiding fraud for both seller and buyer

The e-commerce world has been vibrant over the past few years ,with just a click of the mouse, shoppers can buy nearly any product online -- from groceries to cars, from insurance policies to home loans. The world of electronic commerce, also known as e-commerce, enables consumers to shop at thousands of online stores and pay for their purchases without leaving the comfort of home. For toku-toy addicts,  e-commerce paved the way for end users to get their favorite power rangers, kamen riders and anime figures directly from Japan days before it reaches the shores respective countries.

For toku-fans, the internet has been their purchasing highway replacing their own local shopping  mall. Consumers expect merchants to not only make their products available on the Web, but to make payments a simple and secure process. However, the same things can go wrong shopping in cyberspace as in the real world. Sometimes it is simply a case of a computer glitch or poor customer service. Other times, shoppers are cheated by clever scam artists. Same goes with merchants, since the only communication space is the internet, they have no complete assurance of the identity of the buyer but the value of their credit card.

Merchants are also not fully protected by online buyers who tend to commit fraud to take both money back and the items they purchased. One of my favorite online stores, CSToys International (cstoysjapan.com) is not spared from this predicament. So with that, they have set up a couple of precautions to avoid such mishaps. Below is their recent advice to new customers.

DX Kamen Rider Birth Driver - a hit or a miss?

Yesterday I was watching the video stream from CSToys live in Matsuyama, Japan and as part of the routine unboxing and demostration, Regional Director Mr. S (Masaki Saeki) revealed the DX Kamen Rider Birth Driver. At first I was flabbergasted on how the Birth Driver looks. But slightly disappointed on how it works.

The aesthetically pleasing and almost an exact replica of the one you'll see in the show. (As of this post, I haven't seen the Birth Driver in action, I referenced these from the photos posted on the net). I never thought  green and gold comes together perfectly in one design. I guess its works well given the right amount of colors and where to place them. The belt comes with two cell medals - scorpion and crab cells. Insert one medal (any medal) and turn the golden knob which at first creates the transformation sound. Remove the medal and repeat the process will create 6 different sounds which depicts the added fire power for KR Birth. Insert two medals simultaneously will generate the final attack sound. LED lights changes for every transformation.6 henshin sounds and 1 final attack sound is ok but this one lacks variety. 

What I am disappointed about is that there is no difference whether you insert core medals or cell medals. The excitement stops there. I'm not sure how KR Birth will use the belt on the show but by the looks of it, what you see is what you get. Honestly, the Accel Driver has more variations and works well with other memories than Birth Driver's take on medals.

Will this belt be a hit or miss? Should the box say - for KR ultra-mega-ultimate die hard fans only?
