This specific combo change series figure is fitting to your taste especially if you have the Toravendor (well, until the SHF version comes out). What's great about the combo change series is that its affordable and has a high return of investment because unlike SHFs, you don't have to buy all the expensive individual combos. You just need one of each interchange its parts with other figures in the toy line. The head, (lion) mid section (tora) and legs (cheetah) split so you can mix and match other OCCs and create a new combo for your self. Another thing why this has advantages because it has gimmicks that you probably won't see in SHFs like the flaps on the sides of the cheetah legs or that one flipping Tora claws.
Its lion head sculpt is done almost to perfection. The main feature is the mane-shaped to simulate tthe king of the jungle's glorious crown. At the same time, the mane is slightly flows on an angle to make it a cross between the lion's mane and the sun's ray. This is also the main reason why Latorata is yellow in color. The compound eyes are not translucent plastic like SHFs but it is painted well in blue metallic finish. Its mouth piece compliments the whole look of the lion head and seems like it has fangs on the edges when seen from afar.
The shoulder doesn't sit on a two-end ball joint and the shoulder pads are locked on the arms. With that said, there is no need for this OCC to have an extra ball joint which allows arms extend with a amazing reach. The chest symbols are embossed, this negates my impression that OCC Latorata's will just be a painted image of the completed combo. Oh, I almost forget the there are no waist articulation, this may pose as a challenge to toy hobby photographers like me (sort of). The OOO Driver is disappointingly unpainted, how much does it cost just to paint it anyway? The medal holder doesn't open and the unpainted scanner cannot be removed from its position.

The lower half of the arms are also translucent and ends right before the wrists. But still, you can see some detailed sculpting on it. The hands do turn 360 degrees and you may get a clicking feel for the first time. This "click" soon vanishes and you will have more fluidity and ease when turning. There are two hinges on the fingers which I couldn't understand why. My guess is that this would enable a more stable grip when Latorata uses the Medaljalibur.
Kamen Rider OOO in general doesn't have those extended costume parts near the crotch area that's why the leg reach is also superb. However, that area is somewhat loose and slightly wobbles when held up. Knees are on a single hinge and bends on a 90 degree angle. There are flaps at the sides of the shin which is great if you want the same cheetah leg mechanics you saw on the show. Feet and the ankles are connect through a ball joint and the toes are painted in shinny silver cover.
For a first time buyer of the OCC series, it may arrive in a short of a letdown because what you see it what you get. It doesn't have any add-ons like extra hands or a sword, even a separate scanner. Even without those, the OCC Latorata compensates with flexibility (when without waist or torso movement) gimmicks and price point - slighty affordable than the SHF series. My point is you can't complain if you are buying something you can afford. More of my review below.
